| Major: | Business Administration | | What is the most challenging part of your job here at Spansion? | The most challenging part of my job would be the expansion of my responsibilities into other areas within Spansion that I've not had opportunities to work with. These include working with executives and all other levels towards refining and improving significant business processes that help shape the future of Spansion and our products. | | Describe an interesting project you are working on (or have worked on) at Spansion. | I was fortunate enough to spearhead a project we called SESWA (Spansion Engineering Solutions Web Application) that spanned several departments including Sales, Field Apps Engineering, Quality, IT, Marketing, Corporate Systems Engineering and Spansion Engineering Solutions. From truly a grass roots beginning focused on providing software tools to handle customer inquiries, we expanded this to many departments that provided for a very efficient means of resolving internal and external issues and inquiries, including customer product returns for analysis, then collecting, sharing, and reporting on all of the information. Further, we created and implemented external and internal searchable knowledge bases to easily retrieve various documents, case information, datasheets, etc. | | How does it feel to do your job? | An experience with an appropriate mix of challenge and reward, frustration and celebration, coupled with an exceptional respect for an incredibly loyal group of direct reports who turn customers into raving fans of Spansion products. | | What advice do you have for people that are looking to work at Spansion? | Be willing to work hard, expect to make a few mistakes, but realize that the risk of doing something is always better than the risk of doing nothing. Empowered employees make things happen and are recognized, so take the initiative to act when an issue or problem is discovered.
